So this weekend, I’m going to put up a pool where people can bet when/if I end up finishing the Ironman. Enough people have told me that they expect me either to not start and/or finish it that I’m interested to see when people think I will finish without being upset about people thinking I won’t finish at all. So, expect a link this weekend for that.
It’s been a while since either of us has posted here. I think Dan has dropped out, and I can’t really blame him. His life is incredibly hectic, he’s living in a near warzone, and the list goes on. I’ll be impressed if he makes it to AZ, but I’m not counting on him to carry me the rest of the way. For the past 2.5 weeks, I’ve been able to push myself (with the held of ENnation, more on that later). Anyhow, the training’s been going really well for me, I think, as I’ve finally signed up a coach-ish type thing (ENcoach). I’ve got a plan I’m following, I’ve got a support group, and I’m being able to wake myself up in the morning (at 7 am, which, let’s face it, isn’t so impressive given the number of people who can get by on like 4 hours of sleep, but I’ve never been a morning person, so it’s an accomplishment for me). My job has changed for the better, though it can be stressful from time to time. Also, traveling for the winter is almost over, so it’ll soon be time for epic weekends.
Today: swam in the morning, and I’ll be riding the trainer tonight after a conference call with the ENcoach peeps so I can get my learning on.
